Minisforum NAB 9 Quality Notice

We have identified a potential issue affecting some NAB 9 Mini PC units manufactured between September 19, 2024, and March 14, 2025. In extreme cases, these devices may experience startup failures, specifically abnormal shutdowns or failure to power on after a normal shutdown, with no indicator lights turning on. Our investigation revealed that this issue is due to a mix-up in the capacitor materials supplied by our vendor for this batch.

Important: Only customers with NAB 9 units that fall within the specified SN range and experience the startup issue need to contact us for a replacement.

How to Check if Your NAB 9 is Affected:

Customers can check if their NAB 9 may be from the affected batch by inspecting the serial number (SN) located on the bottom of the device. If the third to fifth characters of the SN number fall within the following ranges: 

386 to 526 or 017 to 117

And you are experiencing the startup issue described above, your unit may be affected. Please refer to the following figure.

*P.S. For the 386-526 range, the third digit of these three SN characters must be '6'.
For the 017-117 range, the third digit of these three SN characters must be '7'.

    I just got NAB-9 from Amazon.
    After activation I installed Chrom browser and noticed that the screen constantly displays moving, floating lines like a waves on the surface of the water of different colors.
    The display resolution is automatically set to 1920×980 by the system. And monitor working just fine with other computers I have.
    That kind of things I did not expect from something advertised as computer build for 4K and HD resolution.
    What should I do?

    I purchased a UM680 slim model number MD486VU68QQMQC00023 FOR $232.74 with a 3 year extended warranty from Seel for $33.25. The computer does not work. I get a message on the monitor saying “No Signal” Please send me instructions on how and where to return this product. Thank you for your support and help

After researching online, I discovered that several users have reported similar issues, and I also found this your quality notice page.
